Neuropathy Q & A

What is neuropathy and why do I have it?

Neuropathy (peripheral neuropathy) refers to nerve damage throughout your body (not in your brain or spinal cord). Your peripheral nerves can become damaged by injuries and numerous health conditions, including:

  • Diabetes
  • Kidney disease
  • Thyroid disease
  • Vitamin B12 deficiency
  • Autoimmune diseases
  • Viral and bacterial infections
  • Certain medications

Of all the possible causes, diabetes accounts for 60% of all cases. Diabetic neuropathy begins in your feet and may move up your legs or, less commonly, affect your hands.

High blood sugar damages the blood vessels delivering oxygen- and nutrient-rich blood to the nerves. The lack of blood leads to nerve degeneration and death.

What are the symptoms of neuropathy?

As the nerve deteriorates, you experience pain and tingling. Once the nerve dies, you lose feeling in your foot. Severely damaged or dead nerves also cause muscle weakness. As a result, you may have a hard time maintaining your balance or walking.

What treatments will ease my neuropathy pain?

Neuropathy is notoriously hard to treat. Most physicians prescribe medications, but medicines don’t help everyone and often cause various side effects, including weight gain and brain fog. As a result, many people stop taking medications.

Now you have a neuropathy treatment option. Dr. Henze completed extensive training in neuropathy and nerve function and adopted the latest technology, creating an innovative treatment that eases neuropathic pain.

He determines if you’re a good candidate for his neuropathy treatment by answering three questions:

  1. What is the underlying cause of your neuropathy?
  2. How much nerve damage has been sustained?
  3. How much treatment will be required?

As long as you haven’t sustained more than 85% nerve damage, there’s hope the treatment will work for you. The number of treatments you may need (if you qualify) depends on the extent of your nerve damage.

Dr. Henze’s treatment decreases pain and promotes nerve healing by increasing blood flow, delivering the nutrients and oxygen needed to stimulate nerve healing and regeneration.

The best part of his natural neuropathy treatment is that you don’t need injections or medications and can do most of it at home.

You won’t find this neuropathy treatment protocol anywhere besides Henze Chiropractic & Wellness. Curious to know if you qualify? You only need to schedule a 16-point neuropathy evaluation. Your $49.00 evaluation includes a consultation, exam, and X-rays (if needed).
